Return Policy – Barrow Blueway Bikehire

At Barrow Blueway Bikehire, based in the heart of Ireland, we are dedicated to offering a safe, reliable, and enjoyable bike rental experience along the Barrow Blueway. Please take a moment to read our return policy to ensure a smooth and fair rental process.

1. Return Time & Location Return Deadline:

Bikes must be returned by the date and time agreed upon during booking. A 15-minute grace period is permitted, after which late fees may apply.

Return Location: Bikes must be returned to the original pick-up point or to a designated Barrow Blueway Bikehire drop-off location as pre-arranged. Unauthorised returns may result in additional charges.

2. Late Returns & Rental Extensions

Extensions: If you would like to extend your rental, please contact us at least one hour before the scheduled return time. Extensions are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

Late Return Charges:

Weekdays (Mon-Fri): €10 per hour or part thereof.

Weekends & Bank Holidays: Full-day rental rate may be charged for late returns.

After-hours returns without prior arrangement may lead to additional fees.

3. Bike Condition on Return
Pre-Inspection:

Customers should inspect the bike for any pre-existing damage before departure and report it immediately.

Responsibility: The renter is fully responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the bike or accessories during the rental period. Repair or replacement costs will be charged accordingly.

4. Helmets & Accessories
Helmet Use:

Helmets and other accessories provided must be returned in the same condition they were received.

Loss or Damage: Lost, stolen, or damaged helmets, locks, or other accessories will incur replacement charges.

5. Early Returns
Voluntary Early Returns:

Bikes returned earlier than scheduled will not be eligible for a refund unless otherwise agreed upon.

6. Electric Bike Policy (If applicable) Battery Charge:

Electric bikes must be returned with an adequate battery level (similar to or higher than when rented). A €10 charging fee may apply if returned significantly drained.

7. Unauthorised Use

Rented bikes are intended only for personal, recreational use along the Barrow Blueway and surrounding areas.

Sub-renting, lending, or using the bike for commercial or racing purposes is strictly prohibited.
