The Blueway commences in Robertstown, Co.Kildare where there are amenities for all.

The route follows along the bank of the Grand canal to Rathangan. It continues to Monasterevin, ‘The Venice of Ireland’ which is full of history, architecture and stunning natural beauty. 
The Blueway continues on to Fisherstown, Ballybrittas where a short walk will bring you to The Fisherman’s Inn – a true hidden gem for refreshments.
The route then passes into the beautiful village of Vicarstown and just beyond is The Dilly Dally for great coffee.
The Blueway concludes in Athy after approximately 46km. Athy is a bustling town with lots of attractions, namely The Shackleton museum.
